Peamount shine on Women's League opening day

Peamount United brought their Champions League form into the opening round of fixtures of the Bus Éireann National Women's League as they inflicted a 6-1 defeat on Cork at the Cork Institute of Technology.
Dublin's Peamount proved to be too much for the Cork Women's League with Irish international striker Stephanie Roche bagging a hat-trick inside the opening half-hour while there were further goals from O'Gorman, Quinn and Kinsella to seal the points.
Irish Under-17 international striker, Claire Shine got one back for Cork in the closing stages but it was too little too late as the game ended 6-1.
