Bohemians 2-2 Cork City (Bohs win 3-2 AET)

Gareth Farrelly and Colin Healy’s long-awaited debuts for Cork City ended in disappointment as Dessie Byrne snatched a late, late winner for Bohemians in their League Cup quarter-final at Dalymount Park.
Trailing by two goals inside 20 minutes, the Rebels had fought back gallantly to be on level terms on the hour, but the Gypsies full-back popped up with a header in extra time to send Sean Connor a step closer to his first objective of the season - a Setanta Cup place.
Damien Richardson can be happy with his charges performance, however, as they stroked the ball around with purpose and indeed deserved to beat the victors on the balance of play.
Bohemians: B Murphy; Heary, Burns, Pooley, Powell; Harkin (Rossiter, 92), Hunt (T Heary, 62), Rice, Byrne; Fenn, Crowe (Mansaram, 62).
Cork City: McNulty; Horgan, Murray, Kelly, Cillian Lordan (Lally, 120); Healy, Gamble, Farrelly; McSweeney, Behan, O’Flynn.
