Waterford to appeal Dundalk play-off result
Updated: Wednesday, 07 Nov 2012 16:59 | Comments
Waterford United are to appeal the result of the Airtricity League play-off against Dundalk.
The Blues claim Dundalk's Michael Rafter was inaccurately registered by the Lillywites when they signed him this season.
Waterford will be hoping to see the result overturned, possibly securing Premier Division status for Waterford.
Dundalk defeated Waterford 4-2 on aggregate following their 2-0 away win on Friday night.
WUFC did not make the decision lightly but stands over its merit. The club will not make any further statement until the process is complete
