Limerick won the Airtricity League First Division title last night after rivals Waterford United fell to a 2-1 defeat to Mervue United.
The Munster side play Longford Town tonight but are already four points clear at the top of the table with Waterford only having one game to play.
The fate of the title was decided after Alan Murphy scored at the death for Mervue.
Waterford and Longford will now contest the promotion play-off.
