Former Ireland international Colin Healy has signed for Cork City to begin his second spell at Turner’s Cross.
Healy, who has 13 international caps, first joined City in 2007 following spells at Celtic and Sunderland before returning to England in January 2009 when he signed for Ipswich Town.
Speaking to CorkCityFC.net, City boss Tommy Dunne said: “We are delighted that Colin is back. He is obviously a very talented player with a wealth of experience at the very top level of football, and he will be an excellent addition to our side.
“He was an impressive performer in his previous spell with the club, and I am delighted that he has decided to come back home after a successful spell with Ipswich Town, and I am confident he will bring a lot to our squad.”
Healy said: “I am delighted to be back at Cork City. I know a lot of the players here from my previous spell at the club, and that will make it easy for me to settle in.
“Obviously I have worked with Tommy before, when Paul (Doolin) was here, and I am looking forward to doing so again. I just want to crack on now, get back training and start playing games again.”
