Lee Lynch has joined Sligo Rovers for the 2012 Airtricity League season.

Lynch moves from Drogheda United to sign for Rovers. The Limerick-born player previously spent over two years with West Bromich Albion in England, where he played 16 times for their reserve side.

He was a member of the Glenn Hoddle Academy in Spain before the move to Hunky Dorys Park. The 20-year-old joins the Bit o' Red on a one-year deal. He is a former Republic of Ireland under-19 international and becomes the 13th senior player of Paul Cook’s squad for 2012.

Cook said: “Lee is an exciting young player and already has experience in the league with Drogheda. He is ambitious and I think he will enjoy being part of our side. We will be exploring more options in midfield but I think in Lee we have a player who can play a good part in what we're trying to do this season.”
