Waterford United have sacked manager Stephen Henderson after Thursday’s 1-0 defeat to Monaghan United at the RSC.
Henderson and his assistant Martin Cambridge has had their contracts terminated after two and a half years with the club.
The decision was made following a meet of the club’s board, called when the Blues slumped to a sixth defeat of the season.
Waterford trail leaders Cork City by 10 points after 12 matches.
