Speaking about the appointment, Dunne said: ‘It’s a job I would always have liked and I’m delighted to take it on.
‘Last year was an enjoyable year for me even though there were problems with the club.
‘I’ve enjoyed being in Cork, the people, playing in Turner’s Cross and the atmosphere there. It’s an exciting job and I’m looking forward to getting started.’
