Monaghan United 1-0 Finn Harps

A great left-foot strike from full-back Shane Grimes gave Monaghan United the points against a hard-working but uninspired Finn Harps in this disappointing game at Kingspan Century Park.
Harps keeper Ciaran Gallagher kept out Karl Bermingham's penalty after 29 minutes and the visitors shaded the first half, with Christy Connaghan being denied by Aaron McCarey's outstanding reaction save two minutes before the break.
The second half was deep in stalemate when Grimes pounced on a half-cleared corner to drive home impressively
from just outside the box on 73.
Harps failed to convert late chances that fell to Marc Brolly and Conor Gethins.
