Sporting Fingal moved into third place of the First Division on goal difference as three second-half goals earned them a hard-fought victory over Longford Town at Morton Stadium.

Fingal atoned for their poor finishing in the first half by going ahead three minutes after the interval when Stephen Gough turned a Shaun Williams cross into his own net.

Gary O’Neill scored his first goal for Fingal in the 62nd minute before substitute Eamon Zayed wrapped up the contest with a third in stoppage time.
