Athlone Town 0-1 Wexford Youths
Updated: Saturday, 04 Apr 2009 22:42
Wexford Youths were the winners in a tight affair in Athlone Town Stadium on Friday night.
In a poor first half there were only two half chances, one for each side. The only goal of the game came on 73 minutes when a cross from the left was met on the volley by Conor Sinnott, and his strike from 18 yards gave the Athlone keeper no chance.
As much as the home side tried, they could not get the equaliser, consigning them to a second home defeat in a row.
