Conor Gethins struck with an injury time winner as Finn Harps beat Dermot Keely's Shelbourne 2-1 at storm-lashed Finn Park.

Harps took the lead after just nine minutes when new signing Gordon Simms turned well inside the area to fire into the top corner beyond Tony O'Dowd.

Shels lifted their game after the break and ironically it was former Harps player Davitt Walsh - on loan to the Tolka Reds from Bohemians - who made it 1-1 as he slid the ball  past James Gallagher in the 64th minute.

Shels had chances to win the game before Gethins pounced from close range to give Harps their first league win of the season.
