The Republic of Ireland will take on the USA in a friendly international in November, it has been announced.

The game will take place in Ireland on 18 November, just four days after Martin O’Neill's side play Scotland away in the Euro 2016 qualifiers, a campaign that begins on 7 September against Georgia in Tbilisi.

It will be the ninth meeting between the teams. The US, who made the last 16 of the World Cup before losing to Belgium, are currently ranked 13th in the world, while the Boys in Green are 70th.
