Republic of Ireland striker Simon Cox is facing a two-month spell on the sidelines after a scan revealed ankle ligament damage.
The forward was injured while playing for his club, Nottingham Forest, in the npower Championship on Saturday, after a challenge from Wolves defender and fellow international Kevin Foley.
Cox, 25, should be fit for Ireland’s next game, a friendly against Poland on 6 February in Dublin.
Morning yes I'm out for around 2 months but it feels better and better each day. I wanna be back ASAP to help the lads achieve our goal.
