Robbie Keane, Paul Mc Shane and Caleb Folan are out of the Republic of Ireland squad to face Norway on Wednesday in the Aviva Stadium, with Aston Villa’s Ciaran Clark called in.

Clark has been called into the squad after the latest updates from FIFA this morning indicated that there is still a chance they may be in a position to consider his application to play for Ireland in time for the match.

Clark, who qualifies through his mother and grandparents, opted to play for the Republic at senior level after talking to club-mate Richard Dunne, who is in line to win his 64th cap against the Norwegians

Everton's Seamus Coleman has kept his place in the panel and could be set to make his debut with McShane ruled out.
