Everton youngster Seamus Coleman has expressed his desire to extend his loan deal at Blackpool until the end of the season.

Coleman netted his first senior goal at the weekend in the Seasiders' victory over Scunthorpe and the Republic of Ireland under-21 defender is hoping to help his loan club win promotion to the top flight before returning to Goodison Park.

‘We'll obviously see what Everton have to say but whatever both teams want I'd be happy with,’ he said.

‘I'd love to stay and help us get promoted but if I have to go back that's the way it is and I've just got to do whatever I'm told.’
