Giovanni Trapattoni will leave it until shortly before kick-off in the World Cup play-off with France before making a decision on whether to start Aiden McGeady or Liam Lawrence on the right side of midfield.
Lawrence had been favourite to take his place in the starting-lineup, it remains to be seen if McGeady gets the nod or whether it is a tactical move by the Italian to delay confirming a decision.
John O'Shea will stay at right-back, with the Ireland manager resisting the temptation to move the Manchester United man into midfield.
