FAI Board briefed on manager search

The FAI's Board of Managment have been briefed on the on-going search for a new manager for the Irish soccer team.
The Board will now meet the panel put together to assist with the recruitment, although the identies of those involved in this process have not yet been revealed.
The association went on to reveal that they hope to have the new manager in place in time for February's friendly encounter with Brazil in Croke Park.
Terry Venables remains the bookies favourite, with Gerard Houllier and Graeme Souness also being linked, while former Wigan Athletic boss Paul Jewell has ruled himself out of the running.
