Van der Vaart to leave Ajax

Ajax's Dutch international midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has told the club through his agent that he wants to change move this summer.  

Van der Vaart, 22, has already held preliminary talks with representatives from Hamburg SV, who are taking a serious interest in the midfielder whose contract with Ajax runs until 2006. 

Ajax failed to stop the PSV Eindhoven juggernaut this season, which cost the coach, Ronald Koeman, his job although the Amsterdam side still managed to finish second in the league behind PSV.
