A decision on whether captain Patrick Vieira remains in France's Euro 2008 squad will be made on Monday.
The 31-year-old midfielder has been ruled out of France's first Group C game against Romania on Monday due to a left thigh muscle injury sustained in training for a warm-up match.
'We will wait until the last minute (to make a final decision),' coach Raymond Domenech said on Sunday.
According to tournament regulations, squad changes for injured players must be made before the team's first match.
Vieira resumed training on Thursday, suggesting he could be fit for the rest of the finals.
Mathieu Flamini has been called up in case he has to pull out. If Vieira stays, Flamini will go home.
Jeremy Toulalan is expected to replace Vieira against Romania in Zurich and defender Lilian Thuram will wear the captain's armband.
France also face Netherlands and world champions Italy later in the group stage
