Former Aston Villa and Derby boss John Gregory has been appointed as the new manager of Crawley.
The 59-year-old has not managed in England since leaving QPR in 2007 but has had spells in charge of Israeli clubs Maccabi Ahi Nazareth and Ashdod and Kazakhstan outfit Kairat in recent years.
Crawley said on their Twitter feed: "We are delighted to confirm the appointment of John Gregory as our new first-team manager.
"John has signed an 18-month contract and will take charge for the first time on Saturday at Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup second round."
Gregory succeeds Richie Barker, who was sacked last week after Crawley's goalless draw with Swindon.
He takes over a club lying 15th in Sky Bet League One following Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Crewe, a result which extended the Reds' winless run to eight games.
