David Moyes looks set to be named as the next Manchester United manager following the announcement of Alex Ferguson’s retirement.

The Everton boss is the bookies favourite to take over the Old Trafford hotseat, while several English media outlets are reporting that Moyes will be the next Manchester United manager.

England’s Daily Telegraph journalist Mark Ogden believes that Moyes will be confirmed ahead of United’s home clash with Swansea on Sunday.

The Times are reporting that fellow Scotsman Moyes will be confirmed within the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Manchester United’s share price has dropped by five per cent on the New York Stock Exchange.
