Arsenal v Tottenham (12.45)

Arsenal will assess the fitness of several first-team players ahead of tomorrow's north London derby against Tottenham.

They include striker Olivier Giroud (hamstring/calf) and winger Theo Walcott (buttock muscle).

Midfielder Mikel Arteta (hip) is another causing concern, along with full-back Bacary Sagna (leg), but goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is close to a comeback from his ankle problem and could be included in the team for the first time since September. Midfielder Jack Wilshere will be available again after suspension.

Winger Gervinho (ankle), defender Kieran Gibbs (thigh), midfielder Abou Diaby (thigh) and Czech midfielder Tomas Rosicky (hamstring) all continue rehabilitation.

Tottenham playmaker Mousa Dembele is out of the north London derby with a hip injury.

Aaron Lennon has recovered from a hamstring injury, and Jermain Defoe and Kyle Walker, who also had hamstring complaints, should be fit to play.

Long-term absentees Scott Parker (Achilles), Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Younes Kaboul (both knee) remain sidelined.

Arsenal squad: Szczesny, Sagna, Vermaelen, Mertesacker, Santos, Wilshere, Cazorla, Arteta, Coquelin, Podolski, Walcott, Giroud, Mannone, Djourou, Jenkinson, Chamakh, Arshavin, Koscielny, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ramsey.

Liverpool v Wigan (3.00)
Goalkeeper Jose Reina is set to return for Saturday's visit of Wigan after a five-week injury absence.

The Spain international has recovered from a hamstring injury and is likely to replace Brad Jones, who has deputised in the last four league matches.

Midfielder Jonjo Shelvey is fit after a thigh problem forced him out of the England squad this week while centre-backs Daniel Agger (groin) and Martin Skrtel (illness) are expected to be included.

Wigan have winger Ryo Miyaichi back available for the clash with Liverpool.

Miyaichi, on loan from Arsenal, has not been involved in the last five games due to a pubic injury but is now training with the group again.

James McArthur, who has been sidelined recently by a dead leg, is a doubt, while fellow midfielder Albert Crusat (knee) and defender Antolin Alcaraz (groin) are not yet ready to return.

Manchester City v Aston Villa (3.00)
Manchester City midfielder James Milner (hamstring) and defender Joleon Lescott (back) are back in contention for the champions' clash with Aston Villa.

Left-back Gael Clichy (back) could also be fit after missing France's midweek international against Italy and forward Samir Nasri has recovered from illness.

Striker Mario Balotelli will hope to play after being dropped last week but midfielder Jack Rodwell (hamstring) and right-back Micah Richards (knee) are not ready to return.

Aston Villa will be boosted by the return of full-backs Eric Lichaj and Nathan Baker after suspension and injury respectively.

Lichaj missed the 3-2 home defeat by Manchester United while serving a one-game ban for incurring five yellow cards this season.

Baker is back in contention after a four-game absence with an ankle problem. But Darren Bent, Chris Herd, Richard Dunne, Charles N'Zogbia and Joe Bennett are still unavailable.

Manchester City squad: Hart, Pantilimon, Zabaleta, Maicon, Kompany, Lescott, Nastasic, K Toure, Kolarov, Clichy, Nasri, Milner, Y Toure, Barry, Garcia, Silva, Sinclair, Aguero, Tevez, Dzeko, Balotelli, Razak.

Newcastle v Swansea (3.00)

Newcastle are still awaiting news of Papiss Cisse's situation with Senegal threatening to demand he does not play against Swansea.

The African nation's football federation claim they did not receive details of the back injury which prevented the striker joining up with them for their midweek friendly against Niger and could invoke FIFA's five-day rule, which would mean he is not available for the Barclays Premier League fixture.

Manager Alan Pardew is already without midfielders Yohan Cabaye (groin) and Jonas Gutierrez (knee), utility man James Perch (thigh) and suspended defender Fabricio Coloccini, but full-back Danny Simpson (shoulder) and frontman Demba Ba (shin) are available, as is midfielder Cheick Tiote after completing his three-match ban.

Swansea manager Michael Laudrup is sweating on the fitness of several players.

Midfielder Ki Sung-yueng misses out with a hamstring problem, while his preferred replacement Kemy Agustien is struggling with a toe injury.

Leon Britton also has a knock while winger Pablo Hernandez is nursing an ankle injury, although defender Chico Flores is set to return from a dead leg.

Should Agustien be unavailable, Laudrup may opt to move top scorer Michu back into midfield and hand Danny Graham or Itay Shechter a start up front.

Stephane Mbia is suspended, Kieron Dyer and Hogan Ephraim are available after overcoming their respective calf and hamstring problems, but Andrew Johnson (knee) is out.

Frazer Richardson and Richard Chaplow will be missing for the Saints.

Right-back Richardson had been expected to feature for the development squad on Monday but missed out after suffering a recurrence of a thigh injury.

Richard Chaplow is also out through injury, but Guly do Prado could be involved after being left out of the squad for last weekend's 1-1 draw with Swansea.

Everton forward Kevin Mirallas will miss the trip to Reading with a hamstring injury.

The Belgium international was forced off in last week's victory over Sunderland and could be out for a couple of weeks, while midfielder Darron Gibson sits out a 10th successive match with a thigh problem.

Forward Victor Anichebe (hamstring) and defender Tony Hibbert (calf) remain doubts.

Reading winger Jimmy Kebe could miss tomorrow's clash against Everton through injury.

The 28-year-old Mali international missed the first four league games of the season due to a hamstring problem and is now doubtful with a tight groin.

Royals boss Brian McDermott will definitely be without goalkeeper Alex McCarthy (shoulder) as well as midfield duo Danny Guthrie (thigh) and Jem Karacan (knee).

West Brom v Chelsea (3.00)
Ashley Cole could return for Chelsea in Saturday's league game at West Brom.

England full-back Cole has missed the Blues' last two matches with a hamstring injury but has a chance of being fit for the trip to the Hawthorns.

John Terry (knee) will be out for around three weeks, the game comes too soon for Frank Lampard (calf), while manager Roberto Di Matteo will assess those in his squad who played for their countries in midweek.

West Brom goalkeeper Boaz Myhill will again deputise for Ben Foster, who is recovering from groin surgery, in Saturday's home clash with Chelsea.

Albion are sweating over the fitness of defender Gareth McAuley, who suffered a hamstring injury playing for Northern Ireland against Azerbaijan, with Gabriel Tamas on stand-by to deputise.

But they are more hopeful midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu will be fit after a hamstring injury led to him withdrawing from midweek action with Congo. On-loan Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is ineligible to face his parent club.

Chelsea squad: Cech, Ivanovic, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Cahill, Cole, Bertrand, Mikel, Romeu, Ramires, Mata, Oscar, Hazard, Moses, Marin, Torres, Sturridge, Turnbull.

Norwich v Manchester United (5.30)
Wayne Rooney and Jonny Evans are Manchester United's major doubts for Saturday's Premier League encounter with Norwich at Carrow Road.

Rooney sustained an ankle injury during last week's win at Aston Villa, when Evans missed out completely with a groin problem.

Robin van Persie is expected to be available after missing Holland's midweek friendly with Germany.

Norwich will again be without defender Russell Martin (back.

The 28-year-old will be out for a further 10 days with the injury he picked up in last weekend's 3-3 draw at Arsenal and will be joined on the sidelines by several other midfielders.

Simon Davies (hip) and Chris Baird (suspension) will definitely miss out, while Mahamadou Diarra (knee) and Mickael Tavares (hamstring) are big doubts.

Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill faces late decisions over a series of players ahead of Sunday's trip to Fulham.

Scotland striker Steven Fletcher (calf) and Republic of Ireland keeper Keiren Westwood (thigh) missed their respective international matches in midweek, with 18-year-old Jordan Pickford on standby to provide the back-up to Simon Mignolet.

In addition, full-back Phil Bardsley (hamstring) and midfielder Lee Cattermole (knee) remain doubts for the game at Craven Cottage after missing Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Everton.
