Reading striker Kevin Doyle is fit for the visit of Manchester United on Saturday.
The Ireland international had missed training sessions after suffering a dead leg in last week's victory at Sheffield United.
Striker Dave Kitson and defender Sam Sodje (both knee) remain sidelined with long-term absentee Aaron Brown (broken ankle).
Gabriel Heinze returns to the Manchester United squad for the first time this season for the Barclays Premiership trip to Reading.
The Argentinian full-back has not played for Red Devils since returning from the World Cup less than fully fit but his availability could not be better timed as Mikael Silvestre is ruled out with a twisted ankle.
Ryan Giggs (hamstring) and Park Ji-Sung (ankle) also miss United's first visit to the Madejski Stadium but Alan Smith and Nemanja Vidic are available.
Manchester United squad: Van der Sar, Kuszczak, Neville, Ferdinand, Brown, Vidic, Heinze, Evra, O'Shea, Ronaldo, Fletcher, Carrick, Scholes, Richardson, Jones, Rooney, Saha, Smith, Solskjaer.
Reading squad: Hahnemann, Stack, Murty, Sonko, Ingimarsson, Shorey, Seol, Harper, Sidwell, Convey, Lita, Doyle, de la Cruz, Bikey, Mate, Halls, Gunnarsson, Little, Oster, Hunt, Long.
