Smicer 90% sure he's leaving Liverpool

Liverpool's Czech midfielder Vladimir Smicer appears to be on his way back to French side Lens when his contract with the Premiership club runs out in the summer. 

"It's 90 per cent certain I'll leave Liverpool," the 31-year-old told Vecernik Praha.

The daily said Lens, where Smicer played from 1996 to 1999 before joining Liverpool, was the best bet. 

Major knee surgery saved the Euro 2004 star's career this season and he was a second half substitute in the 2-1 Champions League win over Juventus on Tuesday.
