FIFA agree to change sub rule

The English FA have persuaded FIFA to amend their substitution limits. FIFA has agreed to the FA's proposal that restrictions on substitutes in friendly matches should apply to international friendlies only and not to club games.
Last Saturday's encounter between Fulham and Watford at Craven Cottage was abandoned by the referee at half-ti me once both sides had exceeded the limit of six imposed by FIFA in their attempt to stop friendlies becoming a farce.
