Ireland ace Reid returns to action

Steven Reid made his first appearance in a Blackburn Rovers shirt for 14 months when he managed 55 minutes for Rovers' reserves last night.
The Republic of Ireland midfielder has been struggling with injury for more than a year but played 55 minutes in the 5-0 win over Sunderland without suffering a relapse.
Reid was plagued by injuries to his back and knee which forced him to miss most of last season, but is still short of match fitness and may play a few more reserve games before a first-team return.
