Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giggs paid credit to Manchester United's fans after a Robin van Persie hat-trick secured a memorable comeback against Olympiakos and a place in the last eight of the Champions League.
The United fans have remained steadfast in their support of United despite their faltering season, which had seen them head into tonight's match 2-0 down to the Greek champions.
Van Persie, though, ensured the home support were given reason for cheer - following the chastening 3-0 Old Trafford defeat to Liverpool at the weekend - and Rooney dedicated the win to them.
"The fans in particular against Liverpool were fantastic and again tonight were brilliant and they deserved this," he told Sky Sports 1. "It's a big result and performance and we're delighted."
Veteran Ryan Giggs defied his 40 years to control the game from midfield and echoed Rooney's thoughts.
"Like Wayne said, we owed the fans this result," he said. "It was very good. It was always going to be tough not to concede a goal."
