Bohemians booked a place the EA SPORTS Cup quarter-finals after Dinny Corcoran’s late goal secured a 3-2 win over St Patrick's Athletic at Dalymount Park.

Jake Hyland bagged a brace for the home side, firstly giving the Gypsies the lead after just seven minutes and then hitting an equaliser before half-time after a Daryl Kavanagh goal and Killian Brennan penalty had put the Saints 2-1 up.

Neither side could break the deadlock in the second period until Corcoran struck in the 82nd minute to send Owen Heary’s charges into the last eight.

First Division outfit Longford Town make up the last of the quarter-finalists after beating Mervue United 2-0 at City Calling Stadium.

Gary Shaw plundered both goals in a five-minute spell during the first half.
