Holders Derry City and defending Airtricity League champions Sligo Rovers clash in the weekend’s fourth FAI Ford Cup quarter-final this evening at The Showgrounds (kick-off 5pm).

Shamrock Rovers and Dundalk have already booked their places in the last four and Drogheda United and Finn Harps will meet in a replay on Monday evening at Hunky Dorys Park after drawing 1-1 on Friday night in Finn Park.

Between them, Sligo and Derry have won the last three FAI Ford Cup finals and the winners of this tie will be strongly fancied for this year’s competition.

Sligo go into the game on a run of six straight wins over Derry and overall are unbeaten in the last nine games between the North West rivals.

Rovers will be without four players for the tie as Kieran Djilali is suspended, David McMillan is cup-tied and both Evan McMillan (knee) and Ross Gaynor (knee) are injured.

Derry will be without the services of Stewart Greacen (knee), Kevin Deery (knee), Dean Jarvis (knee) and Tomas Crawley (groin) while Sean Houston (ankle), Patrick McEleney (foot) and Eoghan Osbourne (groin) are all doubts.

The draw for the semi-finals of the 2013 FAI Ford Cup will take place on RTÉ Two’s MNS programme on Monday evening from 7pm.
