The fixtures and dates for the second round of the FAI Ford Cup have been finalised.

Eight ties will take place on Friday 31 May with Phoenix opting to play their game with Dundalk in the home of the Lilywhites in Oriel Park.

Six matches will be played on Saturday with holders Derry City facing Blarney United at O'Shea Park at 3pm.

Avondale will take on Sheriff in Avondale Park on Saturday 9 June, while Cork City's game with Kilbarrack United will be played in August due to the junior side's involvement in the FAI Umbro Junior Cup final.

Meanwhile, the Airtricity League Premier Division fixture between Sligo Rovers and Dundalk, which was postponed last Saturday because of a waterlogged pitch, has been re-arranged for Tuesday 28 May at 7:45pm in The Showgrounds.
