Derry City will meet Shelbourne in the semi-finals of the FAI Cup after the draw was made on MNS this evening.

City will host Alan Mathews’ side in the Brandywell after they progressed past Mervue United last week.

Shels disposed of Shamrock Rovers and now face another difficult tie with the aim of reaching consecutive finals following last year’s defeat to Sligo Rovers in the Aviva Stadium.

The other tie sees Dundalk face St Patrick’s Athletic in Oriel Park. Pat's won a replay with Drogheda United tonight to claim a place in the last four.

The semi-finals will take place on Sunday, October 7 and both will be televised live on RTE Two.

One game will be at 1.45pm and the other at 3.55pm. The exact arrangements will be finalised later.
