Keane to lead Republic in Armenia

Live coverage of Armenia v Republic of Ireland is available on RTÉ.ie (RoI only) and RTÉ Two from 3.30pm.

Republic of Ireland skipper Robbie Keane and defender Richard Dunne have both been named in the team to face Armenia in Friday's Euro 2012 qualifier.

Keane is battling a knee problem while Dunne has missed several days' training this week with a muscle injury.

However, both were expected to take part in the session at the Yerevan Republican Stadium this evening and be available for the game.

Dunne will line up in a back four alongside Sean St Ledger with John O'Shea and Kevin Kilbane as the full-backs, while the midfield will comprise Liam Lawrence, Paul Green, Glenn Whelan and Aiden McGeady.

Keane, who will win his 101st senior international cap, will partner Kevin Doyle in attack.

Republic of Ireland team to face Armenia in Yerevan on Friday, kick-off 4pm:

Shay Given, John O'Shea, Sean Saint Ledger, Richard Dunne, Kevin Kilbane, Liam Lawrence, Glenn Whelan, Paul Green, Aiden McGeady, Robbie Keane, Kevin Doyle.
