Monaghan sign former Lazio goalkeeper

Former Lazio goalkeeper Gabriel Sava has signed to Monaghan United FC for the 2010 season.

The twenty-three year old Italian comes to Mons having played for Drogheda United, Bray Wanderers and Drogheda Town in his Irish career.

An agile, athletic shot stopper, Gabriel impressed in his first stint in goals for United against Sporting Fingal in a pre-season friendly on Saturday 6th February and despite having to deal with shots from veteran League of Ireland Legend Glen Crowe, Sava helped Mons to a 0-0 draw.
