McClean pulls plug on Lincoln switch

Derry City winger James McClean has pulled the plug on a potential move to Lincoln City and looks set to stay in Irish football.

McLean was on trial with the English club but departed after only two days because he was homesick.

Lincoln manager Chris Sutton told the BBC: 'James's father phoned me and said he was homesick and won't be leaving Ireland.

'It's unfortunate because we've been impressed with what we've seen of him.'
