Mathews confirmed to continue at Drogheda

Drogheda United have confirmed that Alan Mathews is to continue in his role as manager of the first team for the next two years.

Mathews' first season as United's manager saw him keep the club in the Premier Division against the odds, having had virtually no time to assemble a team at the start of the season following Drogheda's examinership process.

The Boyneside club is confident that 2010 will see Mathews building the team up to be a challenging force in the Premier Division once again.
