Celtic hope to land Fortune

Celtic manager Tony Mowbray should discover over the weekend whether he has been successful in luring Marc-Antoine Fortune to Parkhead.

The Nancy striker, 27, has also been linked with Fulham, Wolves and Hull City.

Fortune played under Mowbray during a successful loan spell at West Brom and the Hoops boss is reportedly keen to make the forward his first signing.

But he faces competition from Barclays Premier League outfit Hull for the player's signature.

Fortune's agent Michael Manuello said: 'It's now a straight-forward choice between two clubs for Marc-Antoine - Celtic and Hull City.

'No personal deal has been struck with either side but I can say that we're very close.

'I'd expect a decision by the end of the week.'
