Sunderland could target Keane
Saturday, 13 June 2009 22:03Robbie Keane is believed to a target for Sunderland with manager Steve Bruce expected to make a £15 million bid for the Tottenham Hotspur striker.
A report in today's Irish Independent suggests that Spurs manager Harry Redknapp could be prepared to listen to offers for the Republic of Ireland's top scorer as he needs to sell to fund any summer transfers.
The Mackems have already expressed an interest in Keane's Spurs strike partner Darren Bent, but the acquisition of Keane would be a much more attractive offer to chairman Niall Quinn and the club's large Irish following.
