Boruc denies culpability for McGeady black eye

Artur Boruc has broken his silence on his training-ground altercation with Celtic team-mate Aiden McGeady.

The pair were involved in an altercation during training on Thursday, which reportedly became physical.

McGeady has been left with a black eye but, speaking ahead of Poland's friendly against Wales in Portugal tonight, goalkeeper Boruc said of McGeady: 'I don't know where his bruise came from.'

He added in the Scottish Sun: 'It's not a subject for discussion.'

Manager Gordon Strachan revealed at the weekend there had been a problem between Boruc and Republic of Ireland winger McGeady, but that he had sorted it out and considered the matter closed.

McGeady has already been banned from the first team for a fortnight this season for a dressing-room altercation with Strachan, while Boruc was reportedly fined in pre-season for a breach of club discipline.
