Manchester United will play LDU Quito of Ecuador should they reach the final of the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan.

South American champions Quito booked their place in Sunday's showpiece match in Tokyo with a 2-0 win over Mexican side Pachuca today.

Champions League winners United face Asian champions Gamba Osaka in their semi-final tomorrow morning.

Claudio Bieler scored the opening goal after four minutes before Luis Bolanos added the second with a superb free-kick midway through the first half.

In other news, Dimitar Berbatov will miss Manchester United's Club World Cup semi-final with Gamba Osaka at the Nissan Stadium tomorrow.

The £30.75million Bulgarian picked up a virus on the flight to Japan and has barely been out of bed since the Red Devils landed in Tokyo.

Wayne Rooney is also struggling after picking up a knock in training that prevented him from being involved again today. Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs will definitely be involved.

Manchester United XI (from): Van der Sar, Kuszczak, Amos, Neville, Evra, Ferdinand, Vidic, O'Shea, Evans, Rafael, Ronaldo, Anderson, Giggs, Park, Carrick, Nani, Scholes, Fletcher, Gibson, Rooney, Tevez, Welbeck.
