Liverpool v Atletico Madrid
Monday, 3 November 2008 17:45Liverpool v Atletico Madrid is live on RTÉ Two and RTÉ.ie from 7pm on Tuesday.
Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez will make a late decision on the fitness of Fernando Torres ahead of Tuesday's Champions League Group D clash with Atletico Madrid at Anfield.
Torres was put through a tough training session on Monday, having missed five games with a hamstring injury, and was described by Benitez as having a '70% chance' of facing his former club.
Benitez has no other major injury problems - other than long-term absentee Martin Skrtel - so he will not take a risk with the Spain international, who could be included initially on the bench.
Atletico coach Javier Aguirre's decision to bring Sergio Aguero back into his starting line-up on Saturday paid off with the Argentina forward scoring twice in a 2-0 Primera Liga victory at home to Real Mallorca.
It was Atletico's first league win in five matches and followed a battling 4-4 draw at Villarreal the previous weekend for which Aguero was rested.
Goalkeeper Gregory Coupet has recovered from injury and is in the squad for Tuesday, but defenders Tomas Ujfalusi and Giourkas Seitaridis are both out.
Liverpool squad: Reina, Arbeloa, Carragher, Agger, Dossena, Aurelio, Babel, Benayoun, Gerrard, Alonso, Mascherano, Kuyt, Torres, Keane, Cavalieri, Pennant, Lucas, Riera.
