Linfield 1-1 St Patrick's Athletic

Linfield battled back to snatch a point in Tuesday's Setanta Sports Cup 1-1 draw with St Patrick's Athletic at Windsor Park.

The Dublin side had most of the possession in the first half and took a deserved lead when midfielder Keith Fahey rose highest to head home in the 40th minute.

Johnny McDonnell's side had plenty of opportunities to seal the victory but Linfield took control of the game for the final 20 minutes and grabbed a late equaliser with only a minute left on the clock.

A free-kick on the edge of the box was pushed wide to Jamie Mulgrew, whose low drive was deflected past Barry Ryan in the Saints goal.
