Givens names team for Brazil

Republic of Ireland caretaker manager Don Givens has named his team ahead of the friendly against Brazil in Corke Park tomorrow night.

Shay Given is in goal, with a back-four of Stephen Kelly, Richard Dunne, John O'Shea and Kevin Kilbane

Damien Duff starts on the right wing, with Lee Carlsey and Liam Miller in the centre and Aiden McGeady on the left.

Robbie Keane and Kevin Doyle start up front.

Dubliner Glen Whelan has been called up to replace Stephen Reid, who has gone back to Blackburn after failing to recover from a knee injury.

Whelan moved from Sheffield Wednesday to Stoke City last Thursday before the transfer window closed.
