Brazil coach Dunga has called Werder Bremen midfielder Diego and Besiktas forward Bobo into the squad to face the Republic of Ireland at Croke Park on Wednesday.

The pair have been brought in to replace AC Milan duo Kaka and Alexandre Pato, who have been ruled out with knee and ankle injuries respectively.

It is 23-year-old Bobo's first call-up, while Diego, 22, already has 25 caps to his name.

Dunga had already been forced to call Flamengo right-back Leonardo Moura and Werder Bremen defender Naldo into his squad in place of Internazionale's Maicon and Bayern Munich's Lucio.

Brazil squad: Julio Cesar (Internazionale), Renan (Internacional); Leonardo Moura (Flamengo), Rafinha (Schalke), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Breno (Bayern Munich), Naldo (Werder Bremen), Luisao (Benfica), Alex (Chelsea); Gilberto Silva (Arsenal), Hernanes (Sao Paulo), Josue (Wolfsburg), Lucas (Liverpool), Richarlyson (Sao Paulo), Anderson (Manchester United), Thiago Neves (Fluminense), Julio Baptista (Real Madrid), Diego (Werder Bremen); Robinho (Real Madrid), Luis Fabiano (Sevilla), Rafael Sobis (Real Betis), Bobo (Besiktas).
