The Drogheda starting XI v Linfield in the Setanta Sports Cup final at Windsor Park in May. The Drogheda fans celebrate their Setanta Cup victory in Belfast, winning on penalties after the sides finished 1-1 AET. Brian Shelley celebrates the win over Linfield. Defensive stalwart Graham Gartland was a rock at the back and the instigator of many attacks. Guy Bates and Eamon Zayed formed a formidable partnership in the crucial title run-in. Goalkeeper Dan Connor instilled confidence and proved unflappable between the posts. Centre-back Jason Gavin was missed during his spell on the sidelines but returned at a vital stage. Striker Guy Bates celebrates the goal that sealed the league title. Stuart Byrne leads Drogheda out at Dalymount Park alongside Helsingborg captain Henrik Larsson for the UEFA Cup clash between the two. Drogheda fans take in the impressive surrounds of Helsingborg's Olympia Stadion for the return leg. Defensively, Drogs were resilient throughout the season, with only Bohemians conceding less with one game remaining (24 to 17). All-action midfielder Paul Keegan chases Derry City's Barry Molloy. Midfielder Gavin Whelan in action. Ollie Cahill, Simon Webb, James Keddy and Stuart Byrne celebrate another Drogs goal. They have scored 48 in the league this season. Sami Ristila in action against Derry City. The team celebrate the club's first eircom League Premier Division title following their 2-1 victory over Cork City on 19 October. The celebrations began on the pitch, moved to the dressing room and (allegedly) went on until the early hours as the players toasted their amazing achievements this year. After tasting huge success as a player, Dubliner Paul Doolin didn't take long to impose his ethos on this Drogheda team and his vision and hard work was key to the club's success. Graham Gartland and Stephen Bradley savour the club's first league success after receiving the trophy following their 1-1 draw at home to Bray Wanderers on 2 November. Party time at United Park as the United squad celebrate with the eircom League of Ireland Premier Division trophy. Drogheda United, we salute you!
