Fenlon confirmed as Under-23 manager

Pat Fenlon has, as expected, been installed as manager of the Republic of Ireland's Under-23 side.

The Dubliner has been out of work since leaving Derry City after just 11 games in charge earlier this year.

The side will compete in the UEFA Under-23 International Challenge Trophy and will play in the same group as Northern Ireland, managed by David Jeffries, Belgium and Slovakia.

Fenlon's first game in charge will be at Dalymount Park against Slovakia on 13 November, with the team to be made up of eircom League players.
