Harte scores on Primera Liga debut

Republic of Ireland international Ian Harte scored on his debut for Spanish side Levante last night, but his side finished level against Real Sociedad.

Levante, who were this season promoted to the Primera Liga for the first time in almost 40 years, bought Harte from Leeds United after the English side were relegated from the Barclays Premiership.

Harte scored the goal with a 35-metre free kick in the first half, but Sociedad's Nihat Kahveci cancelled out the Irishman's goal in the second half.
