Keane returns home to Manchester

Roy Keane returned to his Cheshire home this morning, ironically about the same time as his name-sake Robbie was securing a World Cup warm-up win for the Republic of Ireland. The Manchester United midfielder was banished from the squad on Thursday by manager Mick McCarthy after a heated row.

The dispute does not seemed to have harmed team morale, though, with McCarthy's men recording a 2-1 victory against Sanfrecce Hiroshima, both goals coming from Leeds star Keane. Meanwhile, Old Trafford skipper Keane showed some neat footwork himself as he side-stepped the waiting media at Manchester Airport this morning.
