Doherty to face Selby in World Championship

Three-time world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan has been handed a tricky tie against China's Liang Wenbo in the first round of the World Snooker Championship in April.

Seven-time champion Stephen Hendry is also paired with a rising Chinese star, 18-year-old Crucible debutant Anda Zhang.

John Higgins will begin the defence of his title against Barry Hawkins.

Peter Ebdon meets Graeme Dott in the battle of two former world champions, while six-time winner Steve Davis takes on Mark King.

Irishman and 1997 world champion Ken Doherty will face Mark Selby in the opening round.

Fellow Irishman Fergal O'Brien will have to overcome Neil Robertson in the first round.

Northern Ireland's Mark Allen will play Tom Ford.
