Doherty advances in China Open qualifying

Ken Doherty is through to the final round of qualifying for the Sanyuan Foods China Open after beating England's David Gilbert 5-0 in Prestatyn, Wales on Thursday.

Doherty will now play Graham Dott on Friday in a bid to secure entry into the tournament which begins at the end of March.

Michael Judge also advanced after disposing of Andy Hicks 5-1 and will also play on Friday, against Gerard Greene.
